About the Wine
The 2009 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru is a truly exceptional wine from Burgundy's prestigious Côte de Nuits. It boasts a deep ruby color and an intricate bouquet of rose petals, Asian spices, grilled meats, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and richly structured, with fine-grained tannins and a deep, multidimensional core. Renowned wine critic William Kelley describes it as "a head-turning wine, soaring from the glass with an extravagant bouquet... and concluding with a long, fragrant finish." This vintage is perfect for collectors and connoisseurs, showcasing the remarkable depth and elegance that Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is known for.

A beautifully layered nose assembles very fresh notes of red currant, violet, lavender and earth undertones. There is both good punch and delineation to the succulent and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a supple mid-palate that contrasts markedly with the dusty, focused and youthfully austere finish that is sufficiently firm to make clear that this is going to require at least moderate patience. -AM

I mean. DRC La Tache 2009. JUST WOW

I mean just wow. You can't go wrong with a good DRC in a good vintage.

Amazing on the nose - floral and fruity. Fresh, lots of energy.

Where do you go from here? The only thing above this is a Romanee Conti.

Absolutely amazing.
