About the Wine
The Échézeaux has an open bouquet with intense aromas of red and dark fruit and a hint of iris. The palate unveils rich tannins, power and a complex array of flavours that linger in the mouth. This wine has very good ageing potential and ideally should be paired with delicate meats (such as poultry and veal).

Wood is more noticeable if not actually intrusive on the very ripe and super spicy aromas of cassis, plum and Asian-style tea. The middle weight plus flavours possess a highly seductive, even opulent mouth feel thanks once again to the abundant dry extract though it tightens up quickly on the very firm, serious and built-to-age finale. Patience.
